National Youth Opportunities

As our participants advance through the First Tee program and enter their teen years, there are a range of opportunities available to them through our national First Tee network. Wells Fargo Succeeding Together | May 3-9, 2021 | Charlotte, NC

Event Information Teenage participants can compete through an essay contest for the opportunity to attend the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, N.C. Four winners are selected, with the grand prize winner receiving the opportunity to play in the pro-am with the PGA TOUR player of their choice.

John Deere Drive Your Future Academy | June 5-9, 2021 | San Francisco, CA

Event Information This all-girls event focuses on leadership development, remaining active in the game of golf, learning the value/impact of volunteerism, and recognizing the importance of building a strong network.

First Tee National Championship | June 20-25, 2021 | Clemson, SC

Event Information The First Tee National Championship will be held at Clemson University, bringing together First Tee’s elite players for an opportunity to showcase how the program has helped build the strength of character needed to play at the collegiate or next level.

John Deere Power For Good Scholarship | July 5-9, 2021 | Silvas, IL

Event Information Participants submit a written essay about how they are a ‘Power for Good’ through service to their communities, schools, and neighborhoods. Three essay applicants will each receive a one-time $5,000 college scholarship and a VIP experience at the John Deere Classic.

First Tee Game Changers Academy Honoring Joe Louis Barrow, Jr. | July 20-24, 2021 | Philadelphia, PA

Event Information Participants selected to attend this five-day learning and empowerment academy will participate in important conversations around issues of identity, racism, diversity, equity and inclusion. A series of workshops, activities, and reflections led by RISE and First Tee coaches will culminate in a final outreach project.

Participant Advisory Council | July 28-30, 2021 | Jacksonville, FL

The purpose of the Participant Advisory Council (PAC) is to advise First Tee Headquarters’ decision-makers on matters pertinent to First Tee participants. The participants will represent their chapter and others at PAC meetings and give honest and professional counsel to Headquarters on various agenda topics.

Coca-Cola America’s Future | To Be Confirmed | September 1-4, 2021 | Atlanta, GA

Event Information Coca-Cola Company offers five participants the chance to experience downtown Atlanta visiting the Coca-Cola campus, attending new hire training, and taking part in interviews to determine the winner of a scholarship. Held in conjunction with The TOUR Championship.

PURE Insurance Championship Impacting the First Tee | September 21-26, 2021 | Pebble Beach, CA

Event Information An official PGA TOUR Champions event at Pebble Beach Golf Links, the tournament pairs top participants from First Tee with a PGA TOUR Champions player and amateurs. To be selected, juniors are measured in both golf ability and life skills knowledge. The tournament is televised on Golf Channel.

First Tee Innovators Forum | October 8-11, 2021 | San Jose, CA

Event Information First Tee Innovators Forum sets to empower First Tee teens to develop a meaningful service project in their communities focusing on raising awareness on global issues. Selected participants will have the opportunity to learn from global industry leaders through interactive workshops and small-group breakout sessions.

First Tee College Scholarship Program is designed to provide further support, life skill development and mentorship of our alumni through their journey. The program also provides professional development workshops, access to internships and full-time employment placement post-graduation.
